Eat for Life 10-Week Program: Learn to eat mindfully, love your body and live with joy

Mindful eating changes how you eat, how you respond to emotions and thoughts, and how you approach your entire life. Some people who take the class have difficulty with emotional eating and body image, some have been diagnosed with eating disorders, some are professionals wanting to teach mindful eating, and some are people who are simply interested in mindfulness and how it can be applied to eating. They all have more in common than you might think. Read what these participants said:
The Eat for Life class was everything I was hoping for and more. Every session had excellent material and left me grateful and motivated to keep doing the work (mindfulness practice, self-care, self-compassion). It is so easy to stop taking care of ourselves with daily responsibilities, but the class was this constant reminder of how important and how good it feels to be kind to myself, enjoy my food and movement, but also not judge myself if things are not going the way I want them to be. Lynn is truly an inspiration and I hope to be able to participate in many more of her programs. — Gabriela Ollague
“I found Dr. Rossy’s book and her class to be a transforming experience. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I have knowledge about food and nutrition but that’s exactly what often gets in my own way and in the way of assisting others! Dr. Rossy has shown me it’s much more than what you eat. I became aware of my own food rules that I have clung to for years. I began applying mindfulness practices to other areas of my life and found more peace and happiness in daily living. If you want something lasting, I encourage you to sign up for Eat for Life and/or buy the book. It’s worth every penny!” –Nancy Strot
I have been teaching and revising this class since 2007. It has stayed current with the topics that are relevant to our time, like self-compassion and body positivity. Mindfulness and mindful eating are antithetical to our culture which wants you to believe you are not enough unless you’re skinny, wrinkle-free, and forever young and that you should always be busy working and on the go. The class will help you reclaim and love your body, your food, and the person that you already are.
Learn to take back your life and focus on the most important things like your health, your wellbeing, your connections with others, your food, your enjoyment, and the other things that bring you joy. Take the first step today and register for a time that is convenient for you–day or evening–and join others in an exploration of what might be missing in your life.
HOW DOES EAT FOR LIFE ONLINE WORK?
We will meet as a group each week live on Zoom. You can take the class from the comfort of your own home and still engage in a lively, meaningful group learning experience and exchange. While of course, it’s not the same as being in the same room with people, it comes pretty close.
