Happy Hormones & Healthy You–Starting Now!

Hormones have a significant impact on health! The body typically manages hormone levels effectively, an imbalance, whether too much or too little of a specific hormone, can lead to a lot of problems. Imbalances may result in many unpleasant emotional, mental, and physical symptoms. These include depression, anxiety, immune disorders, mood swings, insomnia, low libido, infertility, diabetes, thyroid problems, weight gain, hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, mental fog, and confusion. Do any of these symptoms resonate with you?
Hormones are chemical messengers produced by the endocrine system that travel through the bloodstream to various organs, skin, muscles, and other tissues. They play a crucial role in signaling your body on what actions to take and when. For instance, hormones are involved in key functions such as metabolism and appetite regulation, maintaining homeostasis, sexual health, growth and development, stress response, mood and behavior, and sleep patterns.
There are several non-pharmaceutical protocols and treatments designed to support hormonal health in Eden Energy Medicine (EEM). According to Donna Eden, the founder of EEM, incorporating the Daily Energy Routine into your self-care routine is essential for maintaining hormonal balance. It focuses on general body energy organization, like staying grounded, polarization, and movement of energy through the system. Additionally, engaging the Radiant Circuits is highly recommended for this purpose, as they can be activated wherever needed throughout the body. I personally use both techniques daily to help keep my hormones balanced and my body in harmony. Try them for yourself by clicking on the links.
In addition, hormones like dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins promote positive feelings, happiness, and pleasure. Dopamine is the “feel-good” hormone associated with the brain’s reward system. Serotonin regulates mood, sleep, appetite, digestion, learning ability, and memory. Oxytocin is the “love hormone” and is associated with mother-child bonding, but also helps all relationships have greater trust and affection. Endorphins are your body’s natural pain reliever.
Many simple activities can boost these hormones, like spending time in sunlight, exercising, gardening, laughing, sharing a meal with someone you care about, listening to music, singing, meditating, doing yoga, playing with your pets or children, getting a good night’s rest, and getting a massage. Simply smiling or recalling a memory of something that made you happy can improve your mood.
