Love, Joy, Peace, Freedom, Grace, Wonder, Bliss and Beauty: Gifts of the Radiant Circuits

Remember the last time you felt completely at peace in nature, moved by beautiful music, or experienced a moment of pure gratitude? Or remember the way you felt the last time you belly-laughed with friends, danced with abandon, or sang at the top of your lungs? Or remember the feeling of falling in love with a human or an animal?
Maybe you didn’t realize it, but the feeling of aliveness you experienced in all of these examples (and there could be many more) was your Radiant Circuits in action. These energetic paths are powerful. And, when activated, they can deliver a feeling of total well-being.
What are Radiant Circuits?
Radiant Circuits, so named by Donna Eden, are energetic flows in our bodies. In traditional Chinese medicine, Radiant Circuits are also known as the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, Collector Meridians, or Strange Flows. Unlike meridians which flow along a particular pathway, Radiant Circuits have no fixed pathway and jump to wherever they are needed in response to the body’s needs. Their divine gifts include love, joy, peace, freedom, grace, wonder, bliss and beauty. Who doesn’t want some of that?
When to Focus on the Radiant Circuits?
The Radiant Circuits are great for everyone, but they can be particularly helpful in the following circumstances:
- If negativity is a persistent theme in your life
- To overcome resistant habits
- When caught in the past
- When feeling disconnected from self, others, or your divine nature.
- For an extra boost for your healing process (physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual)
Benefits of Activated Radiant Circuits
When Radiant Circuits are working properly, they provide remarkable benefits:
- Enhanced immune function and overall health
- Reduced anxiety and stress
- Breaking negative patterns and resisting bad habits
- Deeper connections with others and with life itself
- Increased joy and vitality
Testing Your Radiant Circuits
If you’re wondering how your Radiant Circuits are flowing, an energy medicine practitioner, like myself, can help. With a few simple tests, I can assess whether your Radiant Circuits are bringing as much healing energy, excitement, and joy into your cells as possible.
After the initial assessment, I can strengthen the energy pathways, so your Radiant Circuits are available for you as they are needed. You may notice a sense of lightness, increased energy, or a shift in your emotional state as these pathways open.
Activating Your Radiant Circuits
Just as happiness can be contagious, a person’s radiant energies are too. And once activated, they’re available not only to you—but also to those with whom you interact.
Here are a few ways to feel more joyful, activate healing, and connect with your divine nature:
- Trace your Radiant Circuits. Using your hands, follow the specific pathways of each circuit along your body. (I teach these techniques in my Energy Medicine classes.)
- Do something that makes you smile. Your Radiant Circuits are intelligent and highly responsive to your emotions. They will know when your energy is joyful and react accordingly. So go ahead, sing or dance to your favorite music, marvel at nature, laugh, and live in childlike wonder—your body will thank you for it!
- Draw Nine Hearts over the body. Trace three hearts on your face, three on your body, and three over your hips. If you want some more love, trace three more hearts over your entire body. Not sure how to do them? Join me for weekly Energy Medicine Yoga classes. Link below.
- Practice Donna Eden’s Daily Energy Routine. This comprehensive set of exercises supports all your energy systems, including your Radiant Circuits.
